1. Sororities and Fraternities are part of a long held social system on university campuses known as "the Greek System".
Sororities are generally for females, and Fraternities generally for males
2. You have to rush in order to get a chance to get in to both Fraternities and Sororities; next you must pledge, be accepted and finally initiated.
3. A "Legacy" is somebody who "automatically" is accepted because a family member such as; mother, father, brother or sister, was a member first.
4. Fraternities and Sororities here are very choosey. They can deny right off the spot, but with a great first impression to the head you have a chance.
5. If a member notices you and thinks you would suceed well in the sorority/fraternity that he/she is in then they will tell the head and the head will make desicions from that point on.
6. Pledges- they must do what ever a girl/boy of the sorority/fraternity asks of them without question, after 2 weeks the pledge will be accepted if he or she suceeds in all his or her demands. Sometimes if the head thinks that pledging for a new comer is not nessesary because she or he has the nessecary potential/ideal character they will atomaticaly let them in.
7. No matter what their reputation, Fraternities and Sororities are here to stay and can be a wonderful part of your educational experince.
